Johannesburg Walkabout

We took a walk in the crowded and busy heart of Johannesburg and witnessed the following scene of street vendors being raided by police. Its a shame because street vendors make a living to feed their family by being in the streets. However, raidings do take place now and then and they’d probably lose that day’s income. Policemen in action are circled in red.

This is photo of a township in Soweto and you can see the Orlando Towers in a distance. The Orlando Towers are an attraction here and this is where you go to do bungee jumps and more.

    Hi there. The first image is quite interesting. I mean, a street this big (wide) and people only (no vehicles), the police raid, and the somewhat indifferent looks of those around. Unusual! 🙂

    Note: I wonder why you don’t make the pic clickable (try clicking the pic of ‘komputer cap jangkrik’ from my homepage, you.ll know what I mean). I guess setting up your pics that way will give the readers a chance to look at your pics better, if they so wish. Just a thought. Cheers!
